All we want for Chrsitmas is.....

Money. Whether its a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, or even a few bills, we need it... and we need it DESPERATELY! We are the verge of being on welfare and getting food from the food shelf. And due to this situation, we aren't happy or in a festive mood this season. We shoud be after a year we had, but we aren't because it took all of our money away. This is an all time low for us.

And for the record, if my husband says we are doing fine when asked on how we are doing....we aren't fine. Far from fine.


Also want to mention....you know when your wasting energy and money when your screen door freezes shut and is all frozen in frost in general. Oh hurry up new windows and doors. We need all the money and energy saved as we can...ASAP!

Holiday Decorating

Its that time of year when the lights come out and play...err...glow. Theres no such thing as too many lights (there are lights are around the lilac bush too). But something is telling me that there needs to be lights around the front window ;) .

NOTE: This is the snow we got the day before Thanksgiving. Before that, we didn't have any on the ground.

Report Card - Term 1 of 1st Grade

Isaac brought home his report card and is doing well and is passing. The system is still different from when we were kids. No E's, S's, N's or I's and no A's, B's, C's, D, or F's either. Its BL (Beginning Level), DL (Developing Level), and SL (Secure Level)...along with 1, 2, 3, and 4 (which are the same to E's, S's, N's and I's).
Isaac has all DL's and SL's and many 1's and 2's. Only thing he needs to work on is his skipping, he does trotting instead...HAHAHA, but Ive noticed it during the summer and insists its skipping. Otherwise he's a great all around student.

Also, last week he brought home an award of Perfect Attendance.

B's 9 Month Follow-up

All is good and still clear. Now its onto every 6 months, not the usual 3. So next one is in May.

First Spelling Test

On Monday, Isaac got his first spelling words list for a test on Friday (today). Every night this week, we had a mock spelling test (mixing around the words), grading it after (he passed each time). Today was the real test....and my boy passed it once again, got 8 out of 8. Way to ace it. So proud!!!!!

(if you really want to know, he is sitting next to me reading what Im writing. Nothing gets past him these days).

Btw, does anyone know when we got the word 'catch'. I don't think it was first grade. Geesh!

One year Anniversary

Its here. The day(s) no one should ever be part of or hear. The days where normal life stopped. The longest 3 days of our lives. The one year anniversary of B's cancer. Would love to never see the 11th-13th again (along with the 30th)...brings back all sorts of pain. You wouldn't know that feel unless you are the person or there with the person 24/7. And why did it happen over the holidays so we can never see the holidays the same ever again. The bright side, he is healed. We can be thankful for that, for renewed life. But we are not thankful for the memories past nor that it happened over the holidays....nor the financial strains it brings after.
